Hi everyone, Term 3 is well underway! Welcome back to all our old participants and a big welcome to any new people at LCC for the first time. I hope you are managing to stay warm during this cold winter. If not, pop into my office and say HI as it's always nice and cosy in there!

LCC has some big news to share. In September we will be taking over the administration and organization of the Ivanhoe Makers Market from the Banyule City Council who have looked after it since it began in August 2007. This is a very exciting opportunity for us as we branch out more and more into the community. I hope you can support this quality market by popping in to have a look on the 3rd Saturday of the month between 10.00am - 4.00pm. As it all comes together I will keep you updated with more information including the type of stalls and their wares that will be at the market.

Last term we had a very successful lunch and knitting afternoon with lots of squares being knitted for a charity rug we are making with the Ivanhoe Diamond Valley Centre. If you would like to knit a square or two please contact me as I am sure we still need some more.

Our food bank continues to operate and we always looking for food donations. Every little bit helps so if you can help please either give me a ring or just come down to the centre with your donated food items.

"Love is taking action - positive, genuine, definite action-to reach out
and help others, proving your love for them."

Until next time,

Best wishes and God Bless you,

Centre Spotlight

From time to time we feature a person or group in the centre as recognition to the wonderful contribution they have made.
Bendigo Bank
This year we have seen our Children's Activity Centre swing into action as all our playgroups move out into our newly refurbished hall. We are very grateful to the Bendigo Bank for assisting with this project by awarding us a grant to cover the hot water unit and two baby change stations which were installed in two separate locations within the Livingstone Community Centre .
Thank-you so much to the Bendigo Bank, East Ivanhoe, for their continued support and assistance!!
