About

Livingstone Community Centre is a ministry of the Ivanhoe Baptist Church and offers affordable short courses and support programs to people within our local community.

Our centre is a place for friendship, learning and belonging that has been running for almost 99 years.

Approximately 700 people per week pass through our doors in search of everything from music and language classes to fitness and spirituality programs.

Our people are the backbone of our organisation, so meet the team:

The Team

	Rev Chris Turner Chris has recently left IBC for Canberra, and once a new minister is appointed we will update this area.
	Leslie Cohen As treasurer, Leslie makes sure the church keeps within the budget guidelines. He prepares reports for the various meetings and together with the members of the Finance team monitors the church’s funds. As administrator of the LCC, Les maintains contact with various contractors employed to keep the property in good shape and is responsible for implementing OH&S policies and manages other issues that crop up from time to time.
	Susan McLaughlin Susan McLaughlin has been our Centre Coordinator for four years. She has a nursing degree and comes with a wealth of knowledge and compassion. She organises the programs for the LCC and helps out in many other ways. She will be happy to help anyone who wants to come in and provided there are positions available sign you up to join in one of the activities.
	Joy French Joy is our playgroup facilitator. She supervises two others who help coordinate the programs and has been doing tis for many years both with us and in a previous position. Every day of the week we run a number of playgroups for parents of young children. Currently our activities are full but you are welcome to put your name down on a waiting list and we may be able to accommodate you at a later date.
